I’ve used the standard white and red feeders before, but the float valve on this one makes a big difference since I can hook it to a garden hose and not worry about refilling water all the time. It worked really well for my younger pullets, and the feeder held enough that I wasn’t constantly checking on it. I found it stayed most stable when I hung it on a wire fence instead of using the legs, which also helped keep the water cleaner.

I really like that this set comes with everything you need, including the feeder, waterer, feet, hanging hardware, feeder ports, water cups, and the auto-refill hose setup. The auto-refill feature is honestly the best part because it saves a ton of effort and makes it way easier if you’re gone for a weekend or just don’t want to constantly refill water. It also feels well made, and little details like the teal color and cone-shaped top to help keep chickens from pooping on it make it feel like a really smart coop setup.

Setup was pretty easy overall, even though getting the two bins apart at first was a pain and took a few minutes of wiggling. Once everything was sorted, it worked great indoors for baby chicks, and without the legs it was the perfect height for my two-week-old chicks. They took a little time to figure out where the food was coming from, but after that it’s been really convenient since I can leave them overnight without stressing about feed or water.
